WITHIN the industrial complex of IKL (Industry of ball
bearings) in Sarajevo, on the area of 14,948 m2, the
following buildings have been built: production hall us the
main structure, boiler room with the coal bank, storage of
flammable materials, warehouse for propane-butane, water tower,
fluid carriers, shelter, restaurant, cloakroom, doorkeeper
room, etc.

The designing and building works of the production hall were
going on simultaneously which required .special synchronization
between the designers of the hall and the technological
process, and site staff. In the original design the production hall was a
steel structure, but later it was redesigned as a reinforced
concrete one.

The dimension of the structure in the base is 148x101.8 m,
the maximum height from the floor level is 10 m. Within the
production hall there are two production annexes with span
L1 = 12.5 m and L2 = 9.3 m and their floor is at the Level of
+5 m
Such a length of the hall asked for expansion joints which are
on the level 7, and thus it was divided into two integral
structural units. Due to technological reasons the column grid is 20 x 17
m.

Under one part of the hall there is a technological cellar
dim. 110.0 x 22.5 m, and its height (due to technological reasons) is
9 m from the level.
