THE COMPUTER equipment factory is a large complex situated
on an area of 1.000,000 m2. The annual capacity of the factory
is 25,000 electronic control systems or computers for automatic
regulation of production processes in industry. The
construction and equipping of this project was specific, having in view the
fact that besides the technology offered by General Electric
Company,
many Russian components had to be built in because it had been
planned to adapt the final product.
§ The hall is provided with a double electronic control and
regulation system of all the installations, and the production
process is automatized to great extent by means of automatic
trolleys or small robots. The basic scheme of the entire
process or all levels (from the first input components, via subassemblies
and assemblies to the final product) is in fact
input-control-assembly-control.
