TO SUPPLY the town of Belgrade with water, the purification
plant "Makis" was designed and constructed to process the
Sava river water into drinking water.
§ The first stage is of the capacity 2
m3/s. On the basis of the technological treatment process, the plant consists of the
following
individual structural units: input structure, raw water pumping
station "Sava", divisional pool, pre-treatment and clearing,
ozonization, filter service building, pure water reservoir,
pure watt pumping station, aerator, mud treatment, chemical building,
pumping station for balancing reservoir re-circulation,
control-laboratory centre.
§ In order to meet very strict functional requirements due to
non-uniform subsidence, the main structures of the filter line,
clearing and ozone filters, were founded on the "Franci" piles
dia 520 mm, length 15 m.
