THE BRIDGE "Gazela" represents the
combination of beam and arch. From the static point of view this is a shallow frame 332
m long. The beam is supported at the distance of 63 m from
uprights towards the centre by the hinge on to the inclined
piers which are positioned at the angle of 29o with the horizontal
line.
On the shore piers in the frame extension two simple beams are
used with the span of 70 m each for joining the steel bridge
with concrete approaches.
§
The bridge width is 27.50 m and it consists of two
carriage-way directions 10 m wide each, the verge in the middle
1.5 m wide and two footways 3 m wide each.
§
The bridge structure is welded and riveted from the steel
quality CN-25 and CN-35. The bride deck, the bottom box plate as well
as the vertical webs are orthotropic slabs. The tin thickness
is from 10 to 40 mm. The total weight of the steel structure is 6,050
tons.
§
The erection of the middle part of the structure was
performed by the system of simple mounting with the help of floating
crane, whereas for the shore piers the steel scaffold and the truck
cranes capacity 60 tons with the jib 30 m long were used. The assembly
elements 15 to 25 m long weighed 6 to 5 tons.
§
The founding of the oblique columns and the first uprights
was performed on both banks, on the common foundation - the
caisson of the outer dimensions 40.5 x 24.6 m which can
withstand great horizontal forces and moments. The caissons
were filled with 9,200 m3 of reinforced concrete, 13,000
m3 concrete as chamber filling and 720 tons of reinforcement. The massive
piers at the place of crossing from steel to concrete structure, were
founded on Franci piles.
§
Characteristics: total built surface 13,219
m2, maximum span 249.92 m, road width 21.8 m, maximum height: (span
centre) 22.78 m above mid water.
