BEOGRAD INTER-CONTINENTAL HOTEL is in the functional sense
part of the Sava Congress Centre and with its accommodation, catering and business facilities complements
the Centre. From the urban-architectural point of view it
completes the town planning of the surrounding area of 20 ha. The hotel
has 478 rooms with 1000 beds, of the gross area 35,844
m2.

The main feature of this prefabricated concrete structure are
four-storey 165-tons pin jointed space frames assembled by the
kinematic method. Eight floors of the hotel building were
carried out in the assembly large-panel system KMG "Trudbenik" with
cross carcasses 7 and 5 m long at every 3.75 m, and a complete
bathroom cabin containing two bathrooms having dimensions
4.2 x 4.2 m. The lower four floors are worked out as a skeleton
grid 15 m across and 16 x 7.7 m linear. The skeleton consists of
17 single-vaulted four-storey frames. The facade is made of
thermal insulation reflecting laminated glass of green
colour.

After having signed a management agreement in January 1992,
the hotel "Beograd Inter-Continental" became a full member of
the "Inter-Continental" Corporation. It is a higher form of
cooperation applied in all chains of hotel corporations. It means that the
corporation on behalf and in the name of the owner organizes
the process of work and production in the hotel in
accordance with standards it applies all over the world.
