groundfloor and two floors. The largest span is 15 m (sports
hall).
The structure of the building is in reinforced concrete
skeleton.
The supporting buildings are: a boiler plant with chimney,
station and sports terrains.
§
The International Red Cross and Red Crescent from Geneva has
for the first time in its history financed the construction of
one rehabilitation centre. This project provides expertise in
running of
the Centce and training of medical staff in Yerevan. In the
international tender, among six world known companies for
construction and supply of medical equipment, this project was
awarded to Genex Engineering (execution of civil engineering
works and supply of building material). In spite of all the
problems as the result of disintegration of Serbia and
USSR, when Yerevan was without water, electricity, heating,
communications, and the complete delivery of material and
equipment done by cargo, planes during the last months,
the building was completed and commissioned in only 22 months.
